Hi, I’m Matilda Klein — a trauma-informed, person-centred psychotherapist offering therapy in the Forth Valley (near Stirling) and online across the UK.
My work is especially suited to women recovering from domestic abuse, coercive control and post-separation abuse. I also support clients with anxiety, low mood, burnout, stress, relationship patterns, and major life transitions. If you’ve been living with chronic stress, self-doubt, hypervigilance, or the sense that you’ve “lost yourself”, therapy can help you steady, make sense of what’s happened, and begin to rebuild.
My approach: person-centred, trauma-informed, relational
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can slow down and feel heard. My approach is person-centred and relational, which means our work is guided by what you bring and what you need — not by a one-size-fits-all programme. Being trauma-informed means we pay attention to safety, boundaries, consent, and pacing. There is no pressure to “tell the whole story” before you’re ready.
Therapy with me is practical and human. We may explore patterns, beliefs and relationship dynamics, and we may also work with grounding, stabilisation, and building emotional safety in your body and day-to-day life.
Experience
Alongside private practice, I work within a domestic abuse service, providing both individual therapy and group therapeutic support. I also lead triage and allocation, which involves initial screening/assessment, risk-aware decision-making, and allocating clients to the most appropriate therapeutic support within the organisation.
